The San Luis Obispo Blues Baseball Club has kicked off their season.
They are a collegiate summer baseball team that competes annually from late May to early August, playing at Sinsheimer Stadium and located at 900 Southwood Drive in San Luis Obispo.
“The Blues is honestly a great game to watch and an amazing workplace with an uplifting energy,” said 2026 SLOHS graduate Carly Sass.
The task is ranked among the top 25 teams nationally out of over 260 collegiate programs. Founded in 1993, the league features 10 teams across California. In 2025, there were 38 games and 201 runs for the whole season.
“It gets a bit chaotic working with how popular and the amount of people that come but it is definitely worth it to come to a game at least a couple times,” said senior Grace Sunata.
Sitting in the stands with the sunshine warming you up and the upbringing cheering from everyone. Enjoy some snacks and a hotdog to fill your stomach while you watch a game that will have you on the edge of your seat.
“I personally think going to games is a fun experience especially when it’s super warm outside, and I love getting into the game when it gets tense,” said junior Jasmine Jenny.
One of the most popular games attended is the July 3rd one with a firework show to preview the 4th of July. The stands are so packed there is nowhere to sit and everyone is gathering for the same reason to have a good time.
Come out this summer and see what the hype is about! Games all summer until August!
