  Many San Luis Obispo High School students are ecstatic about Ty Myers coming to Avila. This summer on Thursday August 20th, country artist Ty Myers will be performing with Brent Cobb and Benny G at Avila Beach Golf Resort, doors will open at 4pm and the concert will begin at 6:30pm.

  “When I heard Ty Myers was coming to Avila I was super excited. I texted my friends as soon as I heard, saying we all should go,” said 2026 SLOHS graduate Jade Harkins.

  Ty Myers’ “The Legal Tour” kicks off on June 11th in Sidney, Maine. Fans were blowing up about his announcement of his tour. Eighteen year old breakout star, Ty Myers is set to impress fans all across the nation.

  Myers’ career kicked off when he posted a Tik Tok promoting his music and the song, “The Tie that Bind,” days later his video blew up drastically and this was just the start. In 2024 he debuted with viral singles, including the song “Thought it was Love,” and “Ends of the Earth.” Later, these became his top songs on Spotify with more than a hundred million listens.

  “I really like the song ‘The Ends of the Earth’ and ‘Through a Screen’ but I like all of his music. I feel like it’s all good, it’s all kind of similar but with different lyrics,” said 2026 SLOHS graduate Mackensie Moore.

  During his tour, Ty Myers will be performing songs from his second studio album, ‘Heavy on the Soul’ that was released on March 27, 2026 and some of his first songs he wrote. Students are extremely excited to hear this album in person and see the true artist working his magic.

  “I’m super excited to go to this concert because I listen to Ty Myers daily and it’ll be cool to hear it in person,” said junior Jasmine Jenny.

  Students can’t wait for August 20th, it’s going to be the time of their life they’ll be singing their hearts out.
