San Luis Obispo High School students go to Chipotle frequently. They are included in the 750,000 customers per day that are served at Chipotle Restaurants nationwide. So what?
Senior Ruby Blackburn: Chipotle is a very popular fast food chain around the country with many competing “mexican fast food chains”. There are many types of things you can order.
Junior Makaylin Molinar: In my opinion all the meats there taste the same with the same seasoning just slightly different font. Also, I’ve gotten sick from the lettuce. I think that is what gave me food poisoning.
Blackburn: Recently I have been going to Press Quesadilla Grill near California Fresh Market and I think it is almost better than Chipotle in some aspects. The prices are way more affordable and more food.
Molinar: Their quesadillas are huge with you being able to put rice into it, which is something different compared to other Mexican restaurants.
Blackburn: I once got a bowl from there and it was full to the brim with many toppings that were fresh and did not taste old. Chipotle’s guacamole is sometimes brown due to it sitting for a long time. There are usually big chunks of onion and every time you go the size of your meal varies heavily.
Molinar: The bowls when you go there [Chipotle] can be very small or full to the brim with lots of meat or little to no meat. Personally, I get no beans so I expect more rice or maybe even more meat but they don’t compensate for the missing beans and leave it fairly empty.
Blackburn: Press will fill the bowl and compensate for anything you have missing and empty. They are filled with salsas and guac and plenty of cheese. You never have to ask them for another scoop and if you do have to ask they don’t charge you any extra.
Molinar: It sounds like people should start going to press more if they are on a budget and want more food with better options.
What is it? Chipotle Restaurant.
What is it worth Blackburn? Chipotle still tastes better, but I will go to Press as well.
What is it worth Molinar? I will definitely still pick Chipotle.
Where is it?: 297 Madonna Road, SLO.
