Today holds an exciting basketball event for San Luis Obispo High School. The much anticipated game where the SLOHS tigers boys basketball team faces the Santa Ynez pirates takes place today at 7:00 PM. This game is a big opportunity for the basketball team, since it would be the first California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) game that they would have won in many years. Originally, students who planned to watch the game were invited to come on a rooter bus departing from the big tree to San Ynez today 4:45 PM. Unfortunately, due to scheduling trouble, the bus trip will no longer be offered
“It’s not happening. There were going to be vans, but it’s unlikely that’ll happen either,” said senior Omeed Djassemi.
The girls basketball team will also be facing off against the South El Monte High School Eagles tomorrow at 6:30 pm. The sports action this week does not end there; the girls soccer team is also playing against the Lancaster Eagles here at SLOHS tomorrow at 4:00 pm and the boys soccer team will be facing Cabrillo here at 5:00 pm on Friday.
