The Class of 2026 recently celebrated the 50-Day Dinner in the commons on April 27, marking one of the first of the final milestones before graduation. Most of the senior class attended the event and enjoyed a variety of food options, including Chipotle, Dave’s Hot Chicken, High Street Deli, and Madonna Inn cakes.
The dinner gave students a chance to relax, spend time with friends, and celebrate how close they are to finishing their senior year.
Though some seniors did not attend this event, the question is whether seniors even have time for the events that come in May.
“I would say I did enjoy the event just because that was probably the first time I’ve really been in the room with just seniors, like all of our senior class together, so I thought that was pretty cool. And there was good food as well,” Said senior Holly Gentry
If your an under classman, and wondering, if you should go to any senior events next year, most seniors say your should.
“I would. I’d recommend getting there early so they can get all the good food options and good seats with your friends to have a fun time,” said senior Blake Norrbom.
There’s one month left and the class of 2026 have these events to live for.
“I’m really looking forward to the senior picnic and The Senior Showcase,” said senior Cali Doan.
Senior picnic is a administration controlled “ditch day” where most of the class traditionally meets to eat, sign yearbooks, and read the last issue of Expressions, obvioulsy.
The Senior Showcase takes place during the last week of school at the Cal Poly PAC. It is a blend of senior talent show and speeches. At this event, the 2026 salutatorian is announced.
Plan on attending every senior event possible is better to go and spend time with your year class share the best memories together.
