San Luis Obispo High School is renowned for its strong basketball program, and this year, another season is underway. Expressions interviewed freshman basketball player Ryan Roussi about how he thinks the season is going to be this year.
Expressions: How do you think the season is going to go for the team, and why?
Freshman Ryan Rouissi: I think the season is gonna go great…Our team is collected and we have good team synergy, so I think we’re gonna win most of our games.
Expressions: Do you think the team is better than other teams around here? Why?
Rouissi: Yes, I think our team is better. We have better capabilities physically, and we have better IQ in basketball.
Expressions: Do you or the team have any goals for the season?
Rouissi: We’re trying to win league [and] win most of our games. We try to go undefeated, but we already lost a few of our games. From now on, we’re gonna win a lot.
Expressions: Are you excited for the season?
Rouissi: Yeah, I’m very excited for the season ahead, and I think it will be very fun playing with this team.
The team seems like it’s going to have a great season, and no matter if they win the league or not, it’s always fun to go to games and support the team.
