Most high school students have discovered the AI App Can of Soup. Many San Luis Obispo High School students are enjoying the app.

What is Can of Soup students may ask?

Can of Soup is an AI based app that takes multiple photos of the user’s face in order to create photos of them and their friends in fake situations.

“I thought it was super cool because I didn’t realize that there was an app that could take your face and make it do whatever you tell it to. It’s most fun to do it with friends and see what Ai makes you look like” said junior Lily Niven.

To create a post, simply select up to two people and either type a scenario or select from the ones suggested. Once create is hit, it only takes about ten seconds to generate the photos.

Students can also comment on other peoples posts and make images together, it’s similar to Instagram, except all the images are AI generated. Many social media platforms have incorporated AI into their platforms, but Can of Soup takes it to a new level.

“I thought it was really funny and something to joke around about with your friends. I think it’s cool that you can type in almost anything, even the most random stuff, and it’ll try and generate it” said sophomore Ali Abercromby.

For example, try typing in “riding a unicorn in candy land” or “surfing on Mount Everest” and see what it generates. While some students enjoy the capabilities of AI to create fun images, others have their concerns.

“To be honest, I was kinda creeped out knowing my face was gonna be on AI generated people and that the app knew what my face looked like. I’ve only used it once at a track meet with my friends just for fun,” said junior Kashmir Flood.

So, if you find yourself interested in the endless world of Can of Soup, try checking it out, Tigers!
