SLOHS’ Sports Teams are Doing Great!

  At San Luis Obispo high school, students just began the spring trimester, for many this also signifies the beginning of spring sports. SLOHS’ athletes have already begun competing and scores are already in.

 

Baseball:

  SLOHS’ Varsity Baseball team went against Lompoc last Friday, March 8, losing 5-7. Luckily, the Tigers made up for this loss with two incredible games. On Saturday March 9, Tigers won 5-1 against Mission 

Preparatory. Following this win the Tigers won again yesterday, March 12, scoring 6-1 against Ridgeview.

  JV Baseball is also doing incredible, winning 12-0 against Mission Prep on March 9. The JV team also won against Ridgeview on March 12 with a winning score of 7-2.

  The Freshman Baseball team also won 12-0 against Ridgeview on March 12. 

 

Softball:

  On March 8, SLOHS Tigers were at Bakersfield High School. There they had two games, unfortunately losing 3-7 against Bakersfield, and 1-8 against Eastside. 

  At the Bakersfield High School tournament on the following day, SLOHS Tigers won 8-0 against Rosamond High School. Later, the Tigers unfortunately lost to Tehachapi in a game of 0-9. 

 

Track and Field:

  Girls and Boys Track and Field were at the Central Coasts Classic Meet, which SLOHS hosted on March 9. 

  The Girls Track and Field team got first place in the meet where they hosted 17 other schools. The Tigers scored 211.5 points, runner ups were Templeton with 86 and Atascadero scoring 52 in comparison to the Tigers huge win. 

  The Boys Track and Field team also took home a huge victory scoring first place with 154.83 points against 17 other schools. 

The top three scorers were SLOHS Tigers with 154.8 points, Arroyo Grande with 117.56 points, and in third place with 66 points was Santa Ynez. 

  This afternoon SLOHS is hosting a tri-duel against Pioneer Valley and Santa Ynez. Good luck Tigers!
