Shilah’s Music Playlist

Many people are highly influenced by music and surround themselves with it every day. I have compiled a playlist that contains sounds that are mellow to  sounds that are upbeat. I hope that while listening to it you find a song that you enjoy, whether it be one that you already knew or one that you have just discovered.

Best friend – Foster the People

  • Foster the People’s unique sound brings an uplifting feel to the soul and makes you want to dance. Released in 2014

Come and Get Your Love – Redbone

  • This song has an old feeling to it which can be almost nostalgic. Released in 1973.

Could You Be Loved – Bob Marley

  • Good old Bob. If this song doesn’t make your body start to sway back and forth then I don’t know what will. Released in 1980.

Diplomat’s Son – Vampire Weekend

  • I love Vampire weekend! But we should listen to them during the weekday too. Released in 2010.

Show Me Love (EDX’s Indian Summer Remix) – Sam Feldt

I discovered this song at the beginning of the summer and I still continue to listen to it now. It’s a nice smooth techno that gets you up and moving on your feet. Released in 2015.

Easy Love – Sigala

  • This song is by far one of my favorites on this playlist. It’s nice upbeat feeling really makes you feel happy and energetic. It’s really easy to love this song. 2015.

Fergalicious – Fergie

  • Fergie is not Stacy, and this song is not lame. It’s a Fergalicious throwback. Released in 2006.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs I Heads Will Roll – A-Trak Remix

  • This song creates a sanguine, positive feeling that is enjoyable to listen to over and over again until your friends and family start to get sick of it. Released in 2009.

Losers – The Weeknd

  • The Weeknd is up and rising. This song is a little different compared to the other popular songs they currently have out, and though not as known, it’s just as good. Released in 2015.

Psychic City (Classixx Remix) – Yacht

  • Every time I wash my dishes I listen to this song. In the second verse it states, “I might be washing up the dishes”. I feel like this song is very relatable and I recommend that you give it a listen when you’re washing up your dishes. Released in 2011.

Blue (Da Ba Dee) – Eiffel 65

  • There’s one thing that’s certain, listening to this song won’t make you feel blue.
