Fitted sheets annoy people. Always clumping up in the middle, pilling, hard to get on and hard to get off, and never a hundred percent comfortable unless the thread count is in the thousands.
Sheets are not even a necessity, beds are comfy themselves.
But, for those San Luis Obispo High School students who deem them essential, Expressions went to the streets to see when the last time was when you washed your sheets.
Expressions: When was the last time you washed your sheets?
Senior Grace Rubio: Maybe like four months ago, and three times a year. It’s too much work.
Senior Cypris Hogan: I washed mine over the weekend! Well…my mom did.
Junior Sam Strickland: I don’t have sheets on my bed. If I did… once a year.
Senior Lilah May: Every two weeks. But, we have a house cleaner that changes my sheets.
Senior Rachel Loberstein: I try to wash mine every week or two but it’s definitely been like three.
Senior Isabella Hoffmann: Yesterday!!!
Senior Lukas Von Bischopink: I do all my laundry every Saturday so I wash them once a week.
So who’s doing it right? No one. According to the Sleep Foundation Organization, sheets should be washed once a week. We will get them next time Tigers.
