The Live Oak Music Festival is back in town this weekend!
If you love folk, bluegrass, country, Americana, blues, or soul, this event is for you.
The event will take place in El Chorro Regional Park, and will entertain audiences with great music from June 19 to June 21. There will be 31 different bands, playing music throughout each day from a variety of genres.
“I would recommend Live Oak to music lovers because it’s just music! There’s so many bands that play all kinds of genres oh my gosh it’s amazing!” said 2026 graduate Neesha Nelson.
Aside from the music, there’s lots of other activities to do while visiting. There’s clothing vendors, plenty of food options, places for kids, music classes, a silent auction, an open mic, and so much more.
“It’s super laid back, there’s multiple stages so you can pick and choose who you want to listen to and there’s plenty of stuff to do if you want to take a break from the music,” said senior Waucoba Hunter. “It’s just chill, and you can kind of do what you want when you’re there.”
It’s also a campout, and three nights of tent camping at El Chorro Regional Campground are included with full festival tickets. There’s also RV sites for those who want to RV camp. Visitors can also visit for just a day, and don’t have to camp for all three days.
“I’ve been there three times, one of which I just went for the day, and two of which we camped for all three days,” said Hunter.
If you’re bored this summer and looking to listen to some great music, go camping, and eat some delicious food, the Live Oak Music Festival is an experience you won’t want to miss!
“It is all about Crunchy granola, hippie, bluegrass, funk and fun music that people can dance to or fall asleep to,” said Live Oak Acorn Roll Coordinator Scott Nairne.
