Movies and shows bring joy, thrill, and excitement to students here at SLOHS. Some shows, like “Stranger Things,” have had students waiting months to watch. Let’s see what shows have students at SLOHS been waiting to watch or have currently watched.
“I’ve been waiting a long time to watch ‘Zootopia 2’ for at least a year or two,” said senior Sydney Rodriguez.
With new movies and TV series coming out, such as “IT: Welcome to Derry,” season five of “Stranger Things,” “Avatar: The Fire and Ashes,” and many other TV series, popularity has increased. Especially when people see actors/actresses they like.
“One actor I really like seeing in movies is Michael B. Jordan. I enjoy watching him on the big screen and I think he brings a lot of intensity to the roles he plays,” said senior Audrina Camacho.
Genres also influence the suspense that movies get, and the audience that is going to watch them with different genres, it expands what people like to see and how they feel when they see them.
“I like fiction and non-fiction, drama, horror, fantasy, and thrillers. I also like a lot of mystery and crime,” said junior Tina Gonzales.
With movies and shows on the rise and some movies and shows grossing billions of dollars, they have become a much bigger part of most people’s lives. They have impacted with some sad movies to biopics, science fiction, and other genres, adding emotions to movies and shows we like and scenes in them that go viral and increase the sales of the movies.
