The San Luis Obispo High School Girls Varsity Soccer team has been on an unstoppable winning streak, securing victory in the majority of their recent games.
“The tournament was really good, we were undefeated which we should have been. The best part to me was beating Redwood because the game was super close and we lost to them last year so it was fun to get payback,” said Varsity Girls Soccer player and junior Kylee Kurkeyerian.
The girls recently competed in the Cats and Hounds Tournament and placed first.
They beat San Joaquin Memorial 2-1 and Ridgeview 4-0 on December 8.
Then they tied up the tournament with a score of 2-1 against both Redwood and Atascadero on December 9.
The girls fought hard for their win and are looking forward to more upcoming games.
They face off against Lompoc tonight at 6:00 p.m. at Lompoc, so be sure to wish them luck.
After winter break, the girls have their first home game of 2024 against Arroyo Grande at 6:00 p.m.
