One of the best movies I’ve watched in 2022 so far has been, by far, has been “Bullet Train”– but little to no people agree with me. Students at San Luis Obispo High School found many critiques in the movie.

“The acting in this movie was very low-quality despite the famous celebrities in it. It also moved way too fast and the plot was super confusing the whole time,” said junior Parker McCarty.

McCarty was not the only one with this opinion. With a 53 percent rating on movie ranking website Rotten Tomatoes, hundreds of movie critics vocalized their opinions.

Film critic Roger Ebert describes the plot as “forced and insecure” and the work itself as a “technically and logistically ambitious movie that doesn’t leave much of an emotional or intellectual footprint”.

The stars of this movie were actors Brad Pitt, Joey King, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Bad Bunny. I thought they did a pretty good job with the acting aspect and the plot was amazing. It revolved around a group of assassins fighting for revenge and a briefcase full of money while stuck on a bullet train (you guessed it) in Japan.

I also found the movie to be hilarious, and there was just the right amount of comedy to keep me interested the whole time. It was one of those types of movies where everything comes together in the end like a puzzle and you say “ohhhh” when you see the whole picture and all of the motives behind the characters’ actions.

To me, this movie was “Pulp Fiction”, except it actually made sense.
