San Luis Obispo High School students are trying their hardest to get all A’s, or are they… Expressions wanted to know the truth, and did so by asking students.

Expressions: How hard do you think you’re really trying for all A’s?

Freshman Bear Plemons: I spend most of my day studying, and trying my best to get amazing grades. I just really want to be able to provide for my future family.

Sophomore Calvin Nemetz: I’d say I’m trying pretty dang hard to get straight A’s this year.

Sophomore Tyler Riley: Probably like B+ hard, but I usually get like all A-’s.

Expressions: Do you think that you could try harder to get better grades?

Plemons: It really just depends on the day. Some days I’m really tired and don’t really want to try as hard as I can.

Nemetz: You know, you can always try a little bit harder, that’s what I believe.

Riley: Yes, but I don’t really want to put in all that effort for just a different letter.

Expressions: Do you get any rewards from family members for getting all A’s?

Plemons: My grandma pays for three Door Dashes a month for each A I get, but even if I don’t get all A’s she still pays for some of them.

Nemetz: No, but they pay my little brother a hundred bucks for each A he gets.

Riley: No, but I wish they did, then I’d try way harder.

Expressions: Do you think that it will really matter in the long run if you get all A’s?

Plemons: It really just depends on the person, because I still don’t know if I want to go to college, I might end up going to trade school. If I do go to college, it will one hundred percent matter.

Nemetz: No, I really don’t think it will matter at all.

Riley: I don’t think that it will matter at all unless I decide to go to college.

It’s up to you whether you decide to try your hardest to get outstanding grades, but some people simply don’t care. If you’re looking to get into a good college though, it’s definitely worth it.
