The week has been tough with some of our Tiger athletes having shortcomings but they still pushed through without dampening their spirits. A lot of games were full of ecstatic energy regardless if they won or lost.

Once again, SLOHS Expressions has the recent scores and upcoming games in the near future.

Boys & Girls Soccer

The Girl’s Soccer team tied Righetti last Friday, January 12, 1-1, and junior Mia Rattigan scored the goal! The girls also faced off against St. Joseph on Friday, January 29. Be sure to wish them luck before they travel to Atascadero on Tuesday, January 23 at six p.m.  – junior Addison Woods

The SLOHS Boys Soccer team has been doing well this season, bouncing around first place, their record is 10-2. They have a winning streak of four, and at their last game, they played Pioneer Valley where they won 2-1. The next game is against Righetti at six p.m. today. They will play Arroyo Grande High School on Tuesday, January 23. – freshman Porter Hales

Boys & Girls Basketball

The Girl’s Basketball team has a current record of 10-10 which is a fifty percent win rate so far. Their most recent game was against Paso Robles High School where they lost 39-47. Their next game is an away game on Thursday against Morro Bay at 5:30 p.m. so go and cheer on the team! – freshman Eric Ozuna Basilio

Boys Basketball recently beat Mission College Prep with a buzzer-beater, winning 54-53. This was their biggest game this year and it was cool to watch. They have a rematch with Mission on February 2, so be sure to turn up. They currently have a season score of 11-10 and doing pretty good. – junior Samuel Fow

Boys & Girls Wrestling

The Boys and Girls Wrestling teams have done very well at their competitions this winter. Their last game was on Wednesday, January 17 where they traveled to St. Joe’s to compete, and while they lost the match, they put up a fierce fight. Today the Boys Varsity Wrestling team will continue their two-day CIT Tournament at Morro Bay High School that they started on Friday where they’re hoping seniors Chance Evans and Kadin Trahan will place highly. On Wednesday, January 24, the Tigers will take on Lompoc High School here at SLOHS so don’t miss it! – sophomore Vyolet Burrus
