Checking in with the ongoing Measure D construction at SLOHS

Freshman reporter Isidro Chavez took a walk around San Luis Obispo High School and returned with visual insights into how the Measure D construction is going.

From the top of the steps into the 500 wing, the view includes the brand new theater to the left, new Holt Field in the center, and the long standing New Gym to the right.

Holt Field has a new turf field and an almost completed all weather track. New bleachers on both sides will hold four times as many spectators as before.

Around the back, the new Cafeteria and upstairs digital media wing will replace the old Library location.

This view from the new Science wing shows a lot of chain link fencing. In the background will be the front student center, elevator and clock tower, as well as a someday to be finished land scaping of the center of the school. Will the red stairs remain?
