SLOHS Students Predict Super Bowl XLIX

SLOHS+Students+Predict+Super+Bowl+XLIX

With the end of the NFL season and the Super Bowl rapidly approaching, many fans are beginning to discuss what teams will make it to the Super Bowl. With an 11-6 record, the Arizona Cardinals were an obvious candidate until quarterback Drew Stanton suffered an injury to his right knee during a game against the St. Louis Rams.

San Luis Obispo High Schools students have opinions of their own on the matter.

“Patriots and Packers. [Packers] are set, they’re ready. They’ve got Aaron Rodgers,” said junior Arturo Lopez. The Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots share an impressive 13-4 record but “the Patriots are gonna do what they always do. They’ll make it to the AFC [Championships] and choke.” said sophomore Hector Rodriguez.

The other two teams in the running are the Seattle Seahawks with a 12-4 record and the Indianapolis Colts, 11-5.

Of course the teams that make it aren’t always the ones we would like to. Sophomore Jenny Zakaria said, “I had to route for my team [Oakland Raiders], even though I knew it’s wasn’t going to happen.”
