San Luis Obispo High School is no stranger to Netflix original’s iconic sci-fi horror show “Stranger Things”. “Stranger Things” was an instant success since it’s debut in 2016, and now returns for it’s fourth and final season on May 27.
It has been almost three years since the release of its third season, which dropped in early July of 2019. The cast has had time to grow out of their child-like looks and for anticipation to continuously rise as time goes by since end of season three. With the delay of filming due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s safe to say that it has been a long minute since there has been any attention catching content from Netflix until now.
The “Stranger Things” YouTube account released it’s official trailer on April 12, dropping the date of season four’s first volume and an insight to what the final season has in store. This is different from the teasers released almost half a year ago just to keep interest. From a first look, the trailer keeps the main loose ends from the third season intact as it prepares to come to an end. The tone also seems to shift into what could be something different from previous seasons.
“It’s the most bizarre season we’ve ever had, Just the scale of it is out of this world,” said “Stranger Things” actress Sadie Sink in an interview with People.
Sink plays the role of Max Mayfield, a leading character since her debut in season two’s first episode, “MADMAX”. From the trailer it can be hinted that this season bring more focus to Sink’s character, furthering the allure of the coming season.
Without any spoilers, the fourth season is sure to haul fans back in after the cliffhanger that ended Stranger Things third season. While only five out of nine episodes are being released on May 27, the remaining episodes can be expected to come on the first day of July.
