San Luis Obispo high school students often have pets, but living on a ranch brings that number up to a nearly absurd point. Most notably as of late, is the brand new puppy, Presley, and the ten-week old baby goats, born in late July. Don’t ask for an exact number, the chickens and rabbits make it impossible to know.

Loki (the orange) and Leo, the indoor mouse catching gremlins parade around the house like they own it.

The outdoor cats, Ninja and Tiger bask in the sun on the front porch.

Six goats now graze the pasture in the sun, newest additions being Ivan, and Cricket.

Rabbits and chickens, everywhere, too many to count.

The OG dogs, Sam and Peewee (left) and Kirby (right). With the youngest of the three being six years old, Presley’s arrival has been quite an upheaval, but soon they’ll all be friends.
There’s never a dull moment with all the fluffy (and feathery) creatures running about. No matter how many pets one has, all pet-owners can attest that they’re an integral part of our lives.
