San Luis Obispo High School’s annual Coffee Night is coming soon. The night is put on by the SLOHS Drama Club and held in the theatre. This free event will take place this upcoming Saturday, December 16, starting at 7 p.m. with the curtain closing at around 9 p.m.
Yet again, the duo of junior Joella Holmes and senior Camryn Goodwin will be performing, as well as other talented Tigers.
“We will be covering the Pixies’ song ‘Where is My Mind?’ I love this event because the drama club does a really good job putting it on,” said Goodwin.
The theme varies from year to year, but the free coffee available to all in attendance is something that stays the same. The theme this year will be “Barbie”.
“It has been a tradition for a while but was beginning to be forgotten, so we brought it back last year. I helped write the script and design the theme last year which was ‘Reality TV’,” said senior Drama Club co-president Stephen ZagRodny.
Students are eager to see what this night has to offer.
“I’ve never participated, but seeing the drama department create a unique theme around a variety show every year has been an amazing experience,” said senior Rutik Shinglot.
Make sure to come out on Saturday, sip on a cup of coffee, and watch your fellow classmates show off their talents.
