Some things change, and some stay the same. San Luis Obispo High School is back.
Expressions asked students how they think about their first day of school this 2025-2026 school year. We also talked about their past experiences, like their first day of school in middle school compared to high school.
“I think that after summer on the first day of school I see people with a lot of new haircuts” said junior Cole Bramer.
Many students enjoy meeting new students on this day. They also love this day because of all the new classes that they are in and it is a big change from the previous year.
“[The first day of school is] nice because of the new people you meet and when you have your friends in your class it makes it so much better,” said junior Blake Schafer.
There are many kids that are excited for school, but there are also students who are dreading it.
“I feel like during the first week of school we don’t really do anything, and it could sometimes be boring instead of just learning the topic,” said junior Cassius Dowler.
Many San Luis Obispo students are happy about their first day of school or some would think that it is boring. SLOHS is gearing up for an exciting 2025-2026 school year on this amazing campus.
