Near San Luis Obispo High School, a bridge leads up to the Monday Club from San Luis Drive. This is a main corridor for students eager to get to and get away from SLOHS
Because of a fallen tree branch, the bridge is currently closed.
The bridge serves as a shortcut for students so they don’t have to walk around it, which takes a far longer time. In addition, it has trees all around it.
“I do really like running over that bridge. It’s very peaceful with the creek running underneath,” said cross country runner and freshman Nico Aebischer.
The bridge is a short distance from the school, and a convenient walkway for students before and after school.
“I use [the bridge] to walk home and go to school,” said freshman Lila Crozier.
The SLOHS cross country runners also use this bridge.
“We use [the bridge] to run our Cal Poly runs,” said Aebischer.
The bridge is great for bikers or anyone wanting a nice walk in the area. Hopefully it will be back in use soon.
“I love running that route, and I hate running the other way,” said Aebischer.
