Everyone knows of the mediocre Peanuts TV specials that play every holiday season. Whether it’s Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any other major holiday, there’s a Charlie Brown special to go with it.
Students at San Luis Obispo High School shared their experiences and traditions of watching the short cartoons.
“Yeah they’re fun,” said senior Penny Della Pelle. “I watch them usually every year, specifically the Christmas one.”
“I love the Peanuts specials and I watch them every Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas at least once or twice,” said senior Maggie Zuniga.
The Peanuts Halloween specials have become more than amusing cartoons with unenthusiastic children voicing the characters.
They are a tradition that connects families as they laugh at Snoopy getting folded into a lawn chair.
They are memories of childhood like watching Linus clutch his blanket and Lucy pull away that football every single time.
