Students and staff at San Luis Obispo High School enjoy many amazing local restaurants to eat at.  Old San Luis Obispo BBQ Company is a classic place for lunch or dinner.

 “I enjoy Old SLO BBQ because they have great food service, and their food is really good,” said junior Olivia Huff.

 They have a great selection on their menu and two great locations around SLO. From sliders to salads, they have great tasting food and a great variety. 

 “Our Restaurant was founded by Matt Pearce, a Cal Poly engineer graduate. While working at Diablo Canyon, he would compete in barbecue cook-offs for fun and soon, realized he had quite the knack for cooking. He decided to start up his own catering business which specialized in Santa Maria-style BBQ, and shortly after opened up a take out window downtown. Now, we have two locations and affordable catering services available as well,” said marketing manager Alyssa Howarter.

  On top of two amazing locations Old San Luis Obispo BBQ also specializes in catering. The Santa-Maria style BBQ food is great for large gatherings and for a quick bite to eat!

“Old SLO BBQ offers authentic Santa Maria-style BBQ using quality 100% Black Angus beef. Not only do we pride ourselves on quick-service take out with quality food and friendly service, but we are passionate about being involved in our community and creating positive change,” said Howarter.

“My go-to meal at Old SLO BBQ Co. is a tri-tip sandwich and a side of garlic bread,” said junior Hayley Lorenz.
