Warren brings a brighter future for SLOHS Volleyball

For the 2020 season, the San Luis Obispo High School Volleyball team is lucky enough to have one of the most dominant players in the Central Coast Athletic Association. The CCAA is composed of over 10 varsity teams. Sophomore Marina Warren was recently awarded with first team All League Honors. Warren has been on varsity since she was a freshman and is already a leader among her teammates. To achieve honors as high as 1st Team all league as only a Sophomore, is an outstanding accomplishment.

This season she tallied a total of 195 kills and 62 blocks.

What makes Warren stand out as an athlete is not only her skills but her work ethic.

“She came to practice everyday with the mindset to get better and improve. She is an inspiration and a true representation of what we want from athletes in our program,” Said Heach Coach Kennedy Meaney.

Students who have already had the chance to watch Warren compete this year knows she is a force to be reckoned with. College coaches have recognized her success.

“I plan on playing volleyball in college,” said Warren.

SLOHS volleyball has a bright future ahead with her leading the pack.

Make sure to come out this fall to watch this beast compete in her junior season.
