As most students at San Luis Obispo High School know, 7/11 is a nice five minute walk away from campus to get quick snacks during lunch.

 7/11 day is today, and that means free slushies. This is held at all 7/11’s from 11 a.m. till 7 p.m. But what many people don’t know, is that 7-Eleven Day festivities will go on for a week, with the company offering a different promotion each day, ranging from a free Big Gulp fountain drink when you buy a share-size Snickers to free popcorn if you buy SmartWater. To take advantage of some of these opportunities, you must be a 7Rewards member.

 “I am definitely going to be heading to 7 Eleven for a free slushie, and then going straight to the beach afterwards. Why not take up the opportunity?” said SLOHS graduate Natalie Davis.

 Two days later on July 13, foodies celebrate National French Fry Day, when many chains offer free or discounted fries. And July 18 is National Hot Dog Day, which of course 7 Eleven partakes in.

 If you are in the mood for a free slurpee on a warm summer day, hit up your local 7 Eleven for some nice treats. Don’t miss out on this once a year opportunity.
