SLOchella’s canceled! Many have been informed that San Luis Obispo High Schools SLOchella has been canceled this Saturday. SLOHS version of the music festival “Coachella” is put on every year with live music from local bands. Unfortunately, it has been canceled due to the lack of bands to play at the local festival. Expressions took to interview students of SLOHS to see how they felt about it.
Expressions: How do you feel about SLOchella being canceled?
Freshman Ryan Shisler: I was really looking forward to it as a freshman, but once it was announced no one was really hyping it up as much, and I didn’t hear a single person say they were going. I think part of this is that It was going to be hosted in the quad this year.
Freshman Malena Stenvall: I’m sad that I can’t see all the bands play, but I guess I’ll just go next year.
Freshman Miley Rosecrans: I think it’s a bummer for the people (and bands performing) that we’re looking forward to it. Freshman will miss out on it their first year and for the seniors who were planning on going, they won’t get to have the last SLOchella experience. With all the time and preparation put into it before the cancellation, I’m sure a lot of people are bummed out.
