With the San Luis Obispo High School 2017-2018 school year rapidly approaching, Expressions decided to catch up with incoming freshman Quinn Williams. Williams is a freshman on the varsity cheer team and is very excited to be starting high school.

Expressions: What are you most nervous about for high school?

Freshman Quinn Williams: I’m most nervous for keeping up with all my school work, having good grades, and balancing all of that with sports.11

Expressions: Are you looking forward to high school? What aspects?

Williams: I’m looking forward to meeting new people and getting closer with other people. I’m looking forward to being more free around school and being able to express myself more without getting put down for it.

Expressions: Why did you want to join the SLOHS cheer team?

Williams: I really wanted to improve and strengthen my skills in cheerleading. I also wanted to show my school spirit in a positive way and grow my relationships with the girls on my team and the coaches.

Expressions: How do you feel about being a freshman on varsity?

Williams: I am very proud to be one of the two freshmen on varsity. I worked as hard as I could and I’m especially happy to have been selected for varsity when I was sick during try outs all week. It’s a very exciting and amazing accomplishment and I am so proud to be apart of this team.
