Check Out The Avila Beach Farmer’s Market

Check+Out+The+Avila+Beach+Farmers+Market

Avila farmer’s Market happens every Friday afternoon at the Avila Beach promenade. There are many different activities to take part in, such as live music and shopping; local businesses set up booths to sell their produce. The event is fun to attend with friends.

“I love all the different types of food that are available at farmer’s,” says junior Ella Udlock.

Avila Farmer’s is a great place to find all different kinds of food. There are many different kinds of produce available to purchase. Some of the items that are available to buy are strawberries, tomatoes, apples and carrots. The fruit is non-Gmo and comes from local farms, so purchasing produce from this market is a good way to keep the local farms in business. As well as fresh produce, are also many different restaurants that set up booths, such as the Custom House. There is also a good Mexican food booth that sells burritos and quesadillas. There are many different kinds of deserts available, such as churros, kettle corn, and snow cones. No matter what kind of food you are looking to purchase, the market likely has it.

Even if you don’t enjoy the beach, Avila Farmer’s has plenty of other activities, such as massages and dancing. Along with hanging out on the beach, there are also many activities to take part in. There is a live Reggae band to listen and dance to. A local masseuse sets up a booth offering thirty minute massages for only ten dollars.

Once you have eaten some food and listened to live music, you can head down to the beach to watch the sunset and relax.

“One of my favorite parts about Avila Farmer’s is relaxing on the beach with my friends,” says Udlock. The sunset is beautiful to watch as it sets behind the hills.

Avila Farmer’s market is an amazing event with lots of different activities. Grab a group of friends and head on down to the beach to check it out!
