The San Luis Obispo High School band started its Spring fundraiser, See’s Candy Springtime Favorites, on March 8.
“The funds go towards everything from new instruments and uniforms to trips. It is very important right now because the band has been growing every year for the past six years, and as our numbers grow, everything is going to end up costing more,” said senior Thomas Green.
Among the items included in the fundraiser are Marshmallow & Scotchmallow Eggs, assorted Lollypops, assorted Chocolates, and even gift certificates.
Proceeds from items sold will benefit two trips that the band is taking: their Spring concert trip and the Santa Barbara Jazz Band Festival.
“To help out [with the fundraiser], ask a friend in band to hook you up with some stuff, or just come into the band room at lunch,” said Green.
