Today, June 3, San Luis Obispo High School buried a time capsule, which is to be opened 25 years from now.
ASB accepted submissions from students, as well as submissions of their own. Things like pictures, music, letters and other objects to encapsulate what life was like for a student at SLOHS in 2016 were all buried. Adviser Jim Johnson said that the time capsule has cost $300-$400 to have made because it must be completely impenetrable of any dirt or moisture.
It was buried near red stairs, and will not be affected by Measure D. With Measure D beginning this summer, ASB and Isabella Stenvall in particular pushed to have the time capsule buried.
