SLOHS students are sporting some very fashionable phone cases. Photo collage courtesy of Emerson Oetman.
Many students at San Luis Obispo High School decorate and protect their phones with phone cases from many different stores and websites. Whether it be colorful, simple, or customized, phone cases can say a lot about a person and be a way to express individuality.
Though a lot of cases do a great job of keeping phones from shattering, they lack style. Expressions set out to explore the unique aesthetics of SLOHS students and find out which phone case websites have the perfect balance of protection and fashion.
Freshman Mallory Cushing shares her beachy collage case from getcasely.com.
This is the more expensive version, with “Bold Flex + MagSafe” features. It’s ultra protective, has a built in magnet for charging, shock absorbing air pockets, and more! However, Cushing just shattered the entire backside of the phone, so take this with a grain of salt!
Senior Mackenzie Temple displays her own collage in her personalized clear phone case from mkeke.com.
This website claims their clear cases also have multiple beneficial components, such as hollow bumper protection on the corners, a precise charging slot, and an anti-yellow cover. The collage is a work in progress. It currently features cute drawings of Snoopy from Charlie Brown, and a polaroid photo.
Senior Sofia Peinado has a daisy floral case, also from getcasely.com.
This is also a higher level case with textured side grips, a three millimeter raised lip to protect the screen, and dual layer protection. What a bright and summer-y design!
Senior Emerson Oetman shares a fun mix between a plain clear and fun design, with a clear tropical case from casetify.com.
Casetify has the best phone cases of all time. Not only are they the cutest designs ever, but they are super protective. This phone has been in use since freshman year and there isn’t a single ding, scratch, or crack to be found. This phone has been exposed to water, buried in sand, and dropped on every hard surface imaginable. Casetify has a range of prices varying in protection. Though the cost is generally a lot higher than an average phone case, it is well worth the money. For someone with an active lifestyle, Casetify is highly recommended.
Senior Brynnley Garris just got a new textured white case from pelacase.com.
If you want a case that is stylish and eco-friendly, this is the perfect website. Their goal is to remove 10 billion pounds of waste from the waste stream by 2028. By switching to pela, join the one million people who have prevented nine hundred sixty six thousand seven hundred thirty nine pounds of plastic from entering the waste stream. Their cases are also customizable, meaning you can have your name personalized on your phone case.
