The San Luis Obispo girls tennis team has been on the trail to victory this season.
In this 2024 season, the team has earned the mountain league doubles title and become Division I (D1) CIF champions. As the season comes to a close, they have an opportunity to bring home one more victory for CIF individuals later this month. Seniors Sofia, Elizabeth, Natalie, Corinne, Audrey, and Marley finish their tennis careers with a season for the books!
Expressions decided to interview Senior Marley Conover today because of her four year varsity run and D2 Commitment to Daemen University.
Expressions: What is your favorite thing about tennis?
Conover: My favorite things about tennis are how it is an extremely mental and physical sport. Tennis has taught me many life lessons too.
Expressions: How do you feel about all the victories this season?
Conover: I am so excited about our success we have had. Repeating as CIF D1 champions and my sister and I winning CIF individuals was so rewarding.
Expressions: How was the team comradery this 2024 season?
Conover: Our team comradery was what led us to winning another title. We all support, love, and have fun with each other which makes the season much more enjoyable and successful.
Expressions: What is your biggest fear from high school to college tennis?
Conover: My biggest fear is probably the unknowns and being able to adjust to all the changes.
Conover and the rest of the team had a great season with numerous tournament victories and left a lasting impression on the tennis program. This was a season that will go down in SLOHS history.
