The Nike Jordans are very popular shoes, worn by many at San Luis Obispo High School. So popular that in 2022, sixty million shoes were manufactured.

Furthermore, in 2023 Nike made roughly $6.6 billion dollars from the shoes.

Sure, they are expensive, but they can look very stylish.

Expressions wanted to see if Jordans were some of the most popular shoes, so to find the true answer about Jordans, we asked people at school to answer the question. Are Jordans the greatest shoes?

“Jordans are good because they are good-looking. They go well with a lot of things,” said freshman Alex Sincoff.

Jordans are great for students here at SLOHS. However, not everyone feels this way.

“I don’t like [Jordans] because of the type of people that wear them,” said junior Cate Tucker.

Although it may not apply to everyone, some people agree with this thought.

However, others have a neutral opinion regarding the shoes.

“Jordans are very cool shoes. They look great, but they are very expensive. I would prefer a less expensive shoe to them, but they are still fine,” said freshman Hudson Loughran.

Students don’t have to love or hate Jordans, but either way it’s sliced, the Jordan brand has been successful since day one.

“In its debut, Jordan has sold four million pairs of Air Jordan 1s,” wrote runrepeat.com editors.

This proves that not everyone hates Jordans, but not everyone loves them.

The only way to know is to try them out, Tigers!
