San Luis Obispo High School’s spring sports are still going, and many of them are heading off to CIF this week. These Tigers are setting records and making SLOHS proud!
Track and Field
On Thursday, May 2, SLOHS Track and Field had their last League meet at Righetti High School. Girls absolutely destroyed the opponents by scoring 321.5 points! However, the Arroyo Grande Eagles crushed the Boys team with a total of 240.5 to 146. CIF is being held next Friday at Sanger High School and it’s looking promising. -senior Tea Fischer
Swim and Dive
Swim and Dive JV teams are done for the season, but Varsity has CIF going on right now until May 9, at Clovis High School. -freshman Bee Balicki
Girls Beach Volleyball
Girls Beach Volleyball has CIF championships at Cal Poly on Saturday, May 4 and are ranked highly! Come out and cheer on the Tigers! -junior Phoebe Drazsnzak
Boys Volleyball
Boys Varsity Volleyball has been doing great going into CIF this week, even winning the first CIF game 3-0. Their next match will be on May 7 against Fresno Christian High School. Wish them luck as they continue pushing through CIF to win it all! -freshman Sarah Kelley
Baseball
Baseball won their second game in a row with a blowout 11-0 win against Atascadero. Junior Gabe Vigil had three RBIs off of two hits, and sophomore Landon Drenckpohl added another two hits. This win brings the Tigers’ record to 8-16. On Friday, they hope to beat Atascadero once more at home, and continue their winning streak. – freshman Santiago Baltodano
Softball
This week the SLOHS Varsity Softball had two games, one against Orcutt Academy and the other against the Santa Ynez Pirates. After a very long battle that went into overtime, SLOHS Tigers lost 4-5 against the Orcutt Academy Spartans, however, the Tigers destroyed the Santa Ynez Pirates 20-3 later on Thursday. The JV Softball team goes against the Righetti Warriors today at 4:30 p.m., more news of their scores will come later! -sophomore Luca Petterson
Stunt
Stunt competes at CIF in Atascadero today against St. Joes at 5:30 p.m. If they advance they will compete in CIF’s again tomorrow. Stunt has had a great season with 4-5 non-league wins and 3-5 league wins. Let’s wish the Stunt team luck in CIF’s! -sophomore Ruby Blackburn

Varsity Golf is training hard, and locking in the roster for CIF. Wish them luck as they prepare for a big match in Dinuba on May 13! -freshman Miles Blackwell
Boys Tennis
The Tiger Tennis teams have been training hard for CIFs, and today they have been battling it on the courts for their CIF Area Tournament here at home. Next week the team will continue their CIF tournaments on Friday and Saturday here at SLOHS so make sure to show some support! -sophomore Vyolet Burrus
