The San Luis Obispo High School Boys Golf team is starting up their 2023 season and it’s going to be the best one yet. The team is practicing at Dairy Creek Golf Course every day after school except for Mondays because they have tournaments.
The boys had their first tournament with schools across the central coast last monday over the long weekend.
“In my perspective, this year, Men’s Golf is going to do great. We have had a great coaching staff for the past years and we are all looking forward to a very successful season,” said junior and varsity team member Chris Camp.
The team performed well in their first tournament and it was a great way to kick off the season. Follow their Instagram account, @slohs_golf_2023 for pictures and updates about upcoming tournaments and scores for the season.
“It’s my senior year so I’m gonna play my hardest and make it the best season yet. Everyone on the varsity team is really good this year, and I know we’ll do great,” Says senior Aiden Spurlock about how he thinks the team will perform this season.
“We are all improving as a team which is creating a great social environment for the kids that haven’t competed in big time tournaments or invitationals,” said Camp.
Their next match is February 27, at the Santa Maria Country Club, make sure to wish your friends on the team luck!
