Send Expressions a Letter! Now!

Black and Gold and ready to publish your opinion! Art by senior Owen Blackwell.

Many San Luis Obispo High School students don’t know that people other than Newspaper student reporters can get published in the newspaper.

Do you want to get your own writing published right here on the opinion page? If so, sending a letter to the editor is a great way to do that!

If you like something we’ve said, or maybe you don’t like what we’ve said, or just want to get your voice heard, this is a great opportunity to share your opinion. Anybody who wants to, including students, teachers, and parents, can send a letter to the editor.

If you want to send the editor a letter please read these guidelines.

While writing your letter you should shoot for it to be 250-300 words long.

You must include a full name and anonymous letters to the editor are strongly discouraged.

Once you’re done you can submit your letter by emailing it to [email protected] for editorial review and consideration.

Expressions retains the right to edit letters to comply with journalistic standards and letters may be edited for brevity, content, and clarity.

Have something to say? Say it!
