San Luis Obispo’s local cafe, Linnaea’s, is a favorite among San Luis Obispo High School students! With their super rad outdoor patio garden, coffee drinks, breakfast and lunch items, and overall peaceful environment, it has remained a hotspot for students. Expressions interviewed SLOHS junior Ryan Schisler, a regular at Linnaea’s, to learn more about the beloved local business. 

  “Generally, I choose to attend Linnaea’s due to its environment, especially the back patio garden which is more hidden in a sense which I love. As well, when studying, I highly prefer a place that not only pertains to a more quiet surrounding, but the people that work there are always continually nice to me and play the best music,” said junior Ryan Schisler. 

  Open seven days a week, Linnaea’s provides a great environment to get school work done, read a book, or just relax and enjoy a coffee. One of the perks of online learning is that students have taken the opportunity to join class from places other than their home workspace, one option being Linnaea’s!

  “I tend to go around two times a week to do zoom so I can have a change of scenery. Though I have to wake up early, I usually see it as an escape from my house whenever I can nowadays,” said Schisler. 

  Linnaea’s offers a variety of coffee and tea drinks and breakfast and lunch items such as baked goods and pastries. They also offer great gluten free and vegan options!

  “I would highly suggest getting an iced latte with their rice milk! When I’m in the mood for breakfast I usually will get their breakfast burrito which is highly filling!,” said Schisler.
