Photography can be used as a form of expression, with the classic phrase “a picture is worth one thousand words” being very popular.
“I love photography because you can create art out of real life, changing and warping perspective to make something unreal,” said senior Sonja Cowgill.
San Luis Obispo High School students in the Digital Photography class set out to explore the minimalist style, and Expressions wanted to highlight their work and “something green”.
“I believe that a great photographer has the ability to control every aspect of a photo; they can manipulate the color, light, and placement within the photo to be exactly how they want it. Anything can be a great photo, it just takes a great photographer to discover it,” said sophomore Carmen Joines.
