  Despite 2020 starting off on a questionable note, the world of cinema continues to thrive with a multitude of blockbuster movies.

While many movies such as “A Quiet Place Part II” have been postponed due to the COVID-19 virus, everyone can still hopefully catch these in the theaters. But since most movie theaters temporarily closed down, we watched these movies so you don’t have to.

“The Invisible Man”: Crazy suicidal scientist who has superpowers terrorizes his ex-girlfriend. B+

“Onward”: Brothers with daddy issues guide magic pants. Aesthetically pleasing animation. C

“Parasite”: Class warfare in Korea leads to death, lies, and peaches. A+

“Jojo Rabbit”: WWII but hilarious while simultaneously depressing, lots of dark humor. A

“Portrait of a Lady on Fire”: Forbidden lesbian love in France. The lady stands on fire. A-

  Since we’ve all been reduced to rarely leaving the house, movies are most likely going to consume the free time of SLOHS students. Since the majority of the world is diving head first into extreme uncertainty, we can all sit back, unplug, and enjoy a good flick.
