My Top TV Shows of The Last seven Decades

My+Top+TV+Shows+of+The+Last+seven+Decades

With the beginning of a new decade, many are excited for the new TV shows that are to come in the future, but that doesn’t mean we should stop appreciating the ones that came before it. Here are my top TV shows of the past decades, and why.

2020s So Far- “I Am Not Okay With This”: This Netflix show came out very recently on February 26 and is already a big hit. Not only is the story interesting and the soundtrack awesome, but the two main characters were already very well-known for co-starring together in the two new IT movies. This made the show very successful as well, and fans are awaiting new seasons already.

2010s- “Stranger Things”: This show is probably the most famous Netflix show, and was all over the news when it first came out, and still is. There is a huge worldwide fanbase, and the show’s newest seasons are to be expected soon. Stranger Things has an incredibly talented cast, a great story-line, and has gotten today’s generation interested in the aesthetics of 1980s fashion and life.

2000s- “Malcolm in The Middle”: With tons of seasons available to binge on Hulu, this show is a great throwback to the 2000s. It has a great soundtrack, and relatable characters. This show also has a really good soundtrack, and a variety of humor. I highly recommend it if you haven’t watched this show. I grew up watching it and I’m glad I did because not only has it shaped my music taste and style, but my type of humor as well.

1990s- “Beverly Hills 90210”: Running for the entirety of the 1990s, this show is definitely the best of its time. The acting is sub-par, but that’s what makes it so great. It deals with real problems that many teeangers face. Two of the main characters Brenda (Shannen Doherty) and Dylan (Luke Perry), went on further to work in movies and more shows that became very successful.

1980s- “Full House”: An iconic 80s show, Full House is probably the most well-known of it’s time. It dealt with very real problems, while also including a humorous aspect to it. The show was usually pretty light-hearted, and that’s what made it good.

1970s- “The Brady Bunch”: This show dealt with very different issues than the shows that came before it, including lost hamsters and sharing bathrooms. However, it was still probably the best of it’s time period compared to others due to its abundance of characters of all different ages, and it light humor.

1960s- “The Twilight Zone”: The Twilight Zone is a mix of horror, drama, science-fiction, and superstition, and that’s what makes it so fun to watch. Each episode is mind-boggling and leaves you thinking. The show was even made into rides at Disneyland and Walt Disneyworld. A similar show called Black Mirror has been made popular on Netflix, and it’s basically a futuristic version of the Twilight Zone, and it’s almost as good.
