Letter From Art Teacher Amanda Eedle: Come To “Throwing Late Thursday”

Letter+From+Art+Teacher+Amanda+Eedle%3A+Come+To+Throwing+Late+Thursday

Today in the ceramics studio will be open late again for our “Throwing Late Thursday”. The studio will be open from 3:10 p.m. – 7 p.m. with great throwback tunes!

The ceramics students will be throwing bowls on the wheel for our community service project that will be happening on May 18th . This project which was jumpstarted by Black & Gold is called “Empty Bowls”.  The way it works is students make bowls that we sell with food to the community. All the proceeds for this event will go to the new homeless shelter 40 Prado.

This is a great way for our students to take the skills they are learning in ceramics to make our community better. All ceramic levels have been invited and also students from past trimesters; even some family and friends are coming! I will be buying pizza for the kids so  If you  would like to learn how to throw or just have a little extra time make sure to stop by.

Let’s make our community better one bowl at a time.
