SLOHS Students’ Unique Christmas Traditions

Strange Christmas Traditions At SLOHS

When you think of Christmas you normally don’t think about weird Christmas traditions, you think about all the fun and normal things that will happen. Expressions went around San Luis Obispo High School and asked students what their weirdest Christmas traditions were.

Sophomore Alexis Nelson: My family and I wake up at 5 a.m.

Junior Gabby Wood: My family has breakfast instead of dinner on Christmas Eve.

Sophomore Josh Kommer: On Christmas Eve my dad hides this pickle in the tree and who ever find its first gets to open one present early.

Junior Casey Leebrick: On Christmas Eve I go to the pear and jump into the ocean by myself.

Sophomore Adian Stewart: On Christmas my friends and I make weird drinks and everyone has to drink them but, they don’t know what’s in them until it’s too late.

Sophomore Zack Maxwell: Well, on Christmas Eve, when everyone falls asleep I go and kiss all their foreheads and wish them good luck.

Junior Roxy Aviles: My family and I make tamales, then we play games, after that we sing Mexican songs really loud where our neighbors complain and call the cops.

Sophomore Kevin Jess: My family and I get a rabbit then skin it and roast it then eat it.
