Students’ Resolutions For The New Year

Students%E2%80%99+Resolutions+For+The+New+Year

The start of a new year brings many exciting things, one of which is New Year’s resolutions. Most people make resolutions but never get around to them, while the rest successfully follow through. Expressions interviewed some students about their experiences with New Year’s resolutions.

When asked about if she had ever had any resolutions in the past, sophomore Kat Freeman said, “I have had New Year’s resolutions in the past, but they weren’t really serious. They didn’t end up working out.”

However, there are some students on the other end of the spectrum that take resolutions very seriously.

“I have some New Year’s resolutions to fulfill my dreams and hang out with friends more. I think New Year’s resolutions don’t usually work because people just do them to do them, but they don’t mean them,” said sophomore Zach Maxwell.

“New Year’s resolutions are irrelevant. Choosing a random day to turn your life around isn’t going to change anything, it should just happen naturally,” said junior Cecily Jacinth, who annually protests the ideas of New Year’s resolutions.

As one can see, there is quite a divide between students who do New Year’s resolutions and those who don’t. Whatever the new year brings your life, Expressions wishes you happy holidays and a happy New Year.
