Last Friday, on December 2, the entire population of San Luis Obispo took to the streets of downtown for one of the most anticipated events of the season: the annual holiday parade.
The parade celebrated its 41st year as organizations from the community, such as Central Coast Gymnastics, Coastal Pediatric Dentistry, and Fatte’s Pizza, among others, came out to show their Christmas spirit. As for the main sponsor of the event, we have Wells Fargo to thank for sponsoring the parade and making it possible.
The theme this year was “Dashing Through the SLO,” which is very fitting considering that there were over 80 decorative floats, vehicles, marching bands, and dancers that “dashed” through Monterey and Higuera street. Being one of the largest parades on the Central Coast, the Holiday Parade attracts thousands of spectators, bringing the community together and getting the holiday season off to a good start.
