On Thursday, March 3rd, the California Pizza Kitchen location on Marsh St. (next to the movie theater) is holding a fundraiser in support of the David Melton Memorial Math Scholarship. Bring in a flyer promoting the event and present it to your server, and CPK will donate 20 percent of your bill to the cause, whether  it’s dine in, take out, catering and on all beverages.

The David Melton Memorial Math Scholarship fund was created in honor of former San Luis Obispo High School teacher David Melton, who passed away of heart attack in his sleep in March of 2011. The purpose of this Scholarship is to help students who may not be able to afford the full tuition of college with its current extreme rates. All proceeds will go to help pay for students’ tuition.

“I’m always down for a tantalizing piece of pizza, and if it’s for a good cause I’m down,” said junior Sam Kukol.

So if you get hungry on March 3rd, grab a flyer and consider taking your appetite to CPK, where the food is as solid as the cause.
