The St. Louis Rams will be returning to Los Angeles for the 2016 National Football League (NFL) season after being approved by 30 of 32 team owners. They will be playing at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum which is operated by University of Southern California until their new 1.86-billion-dollar stadium is built in Inglewood by 2019.  The Rams were originally located in LA from 1946 to 1994.

“Today, with the NFL returning home, Los Angeles cements itself as the epicenter of the sports world,” Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said in a statement.

“This decision is about what is in the best long-term interests of the Rams organization and the National Football League. This has been the most difficult process of my professional career,” said Rams owner Enos Kroenke.

Rams fans across California are rejoicing now that their team is back home.

The Raiders and The Chargers are also currently looking for new accommodations, and may join the Rams in L.A.
