Men’s Golf at San Luis Obispo High School has started, and the Tigers are off to a hot start. The Tigers golf team has always been a prestigious sport, and the younger players are anxious to carry out that legacy. Expressions asked these players what their future is looking like and also this program’s future.
“I feel very confident. I am definitely looking forward to the future. We have a very young team, so as time goes on, players will develop and we will be very good in the next few years,” said Sophomore captain Alex Sincoff.
Sincoff is one of the best young athletes in this sport, and is very excited to continue on his journey. The Tigers golf team is a tight knit group, and all the players are looking to better themselves and the team.
“Teamwork is important because for such an independent sport, it really strives us to improve our game and gain competition against our team to improve,” said varsity player sophomore Grady Garrison.
On the other hand, junior varsity have been preparing for what is coming for them in the future. Although these students may not be on the big stage just yet, they need to be diligent in their training in case they are needed to step up.
“The team is preparing very much with their training, always giving 100% during every practice,” said junior varsity player sophomore Miles Blackwell.
The Tigers have had many great seasons in their past, and now they are looking to begin a new legacy through this young and talented team.
Check them out when we get back to school on March 31 at the St Joseph’s Tournament in Santa Maria.
