Forever 21 Set To Close Next Year

Forever+21+Set+To+Close+Next+Year

Clothing store Forever 21 in San Luis Obispo announced that it will be closing by January 6, 2016 for reasons unknown. Forever 21 is one of the largest stores in the SLO Promenade Shopping Center off of Madonna road, and a frequent shopping destination for many teenagers. The wide range of clothing styles and affordable prices makes it appealing to a variety of people. Saying goodbye to Forever 21 has provoked mixed emotions from students at San Luis Obispo High School.

“I don’t think it should close because it is a good place to buy clothes if you have a low budget and you’re trying to save money,” said junior Kailen Erickson.

“I haven’t shopped there in so long but it’s that one store in SLO that you can go to and find anything you need within five minutes for super cheap, so I will miss that when it’s gone,” said senior Faith Brown.

Many students at SLOHS don’t have an abundance of extra cash lying around to spend on clothes, so Forever 21 is a great option to fit their needs. However, some students still prefer to shop elsewhere.

“I don’t really care that Forever 21 is closing. The clothes aren’t good quality, so I’d rather shop somewhere a little more expensive to get better quality clothing,” said freshmen Amber Nunes.

Forever 21, whether liked or not, is a store in San Luis Obispo that many people know about, and its leaving will create a hole in the shopping routine of some students. What’s to come is still undetermined.
